ESI President Guest Speaker at Veterans Day Festivities

ESI President and retired Air Force Chief Jim Wallace, spoke this past weekend at the Lower Gwynedd Township Veterans Day Ceremony.  The event was held at Veterans Park in Spring House, Pennsylvania.  Local councilmen, representatives and politicians were among the 100 guests in attendance at the ceremony.

Jim Wallace enlisted in the Air Force on September 20, 1966.  He graduated Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, then attended Aircraft Loadmaster School at Sheppard Air Force Base.  During his four year active duty tour, Chief Wallace was stationed at Dover AFB in Delaware; Naha AB in Okinawa, Japan; Cam Rahn Bay AB and  Tan Son Nhut AB, both in the Republic of Vietnam; Ubon AB in Thailand; and Langley AFB in Virginia.  Chief Wallace joined the 913th Airlift wing on September 4, 1974 as an Aircraft Loadmaster in the 913th Aerial Port Flight, later designated the 31st Aerial Port Squadron.  He retired in 2006 as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Willow Grove Air Reserve Facility.
