East Norriton Middle School Team Awarded for Video About Electro Soft

We’re so proud of the team from East Norriton Middle School for their award-winning video in the “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” 2017 Philadelphia Region Contest!

The team of youngsters filmed their entry — which won for Best Team Spirit — right here at Electro Soft Inc., and they received their award during a ceremony April 3 at Montgomery County Community College. The yearly contest is sponsored by the Manufacturing Alliance of Philadelphia and aims to get children interested in pursuing a manufacturing career.

Each team was given four months to create a short video profile about their partner company and the company’s career opportunities. The videos were then judged by an expert panel and also a public vote, which was hosted on the Dream It. Do It. website.

The East Norriton Middle School team’s video featured our founder Jim Wallace, Cable Assembler Daniel Wallace, PC Board Quality Supervisor Jodi Winter, Quality Control Supervisor Dave Winter and PCB Assembler Sara Yoth

“Manufacturing is cool because everybody contributes to a whole,” Daniel tells the kids in the video. “There’s a lot of small components to each task but it adds up to something really big.”

“Today, manufacturing companies look for skills in math, problem solving, communication, and most importantly, teamwork,” the kids tell their audience. We couldn’t agree more.

So, what’s so cool about manufacturing? We’ll let the team from East Norriton Middle School tell you with their award-winning video featuring Electro Soft!
