Take a Virtual Tour of Our Manufacturing Facility
We’ve been hard at work this summer, getting our facilities ready to give you a behind-the-scenes tour of where the magic happens at Electro Soft. The good news is, you won’t have to travel — or even get out of your chair — to take part in it. In fact, you don’t even need to make an appointment!
Thanks to 3D technology from the Matterport platform and a Philadelphia-area company called Momentum 360, you can tour our entire production floor and offices on a computer or a mobile device. However, for an even more immersive experience, we highly recommend you use a set of virtual reality goggles. We’ll even send you a set free of charge — just click here. It’s an amazing, fully involved experience that makes you feel like you’re actually right there on the production floor!
When you manufacture precision electronics components for the aviation, defense, rail, transit and OEM industries like we do, you’re surrounded by cutting-edge technology every day. Yet we still found our experience with Momentum — and the virtual reality process — fascinating.
After we did a thorough housecleaning, we had to clear the building of people to ensure no one inadvertently ended up in a shot. Over the course of three hours, the Momentum team moved a specialized digital camera to various points around the production floor and office, filming everything from top to bottom — literally capturing a 360-degree view of each section of our workspace.
Afterward, the Momentum team digitally pieced all of the footage together and rendered what’s called a “dollhouse view.” This allows you, with the click of a mouse, to take a virtual tour and “fly” into any room or area you want to view. You can then zoom in for a closer look, or click on any of the pop-up bubbles that appear. The bubbles provide details about the equipment we use in our production process, along with links for even more information.
Once they’d completed the 360-degree photography, Momentum took drone footage of our building at dusk, so you can see Electro Soft inside and out.
The end result is that you can inspect each and every area of the Electro Soft facility — including where we create printed circuit boards (PCBs), wire harness assemblies, custom cables, cabinet assemblies and more. And it can all be done from the convenience of your home or office.
